Our first plunge into the HiLoVv - Hidden Live(r)s of Venice educational project leads us to interesting encounters:
On one of the Venetian lagoon islands, the Finotello family produces vegetables and delivers them across the sea to their fellow citizens. Elisabetta is the third generation of florists at the infamous San Michele cemetery island. Modou is a Nigerian immigrant who reveals a few tricks of the bag-selling trade to the filmmakers. Riccardo Bonini is a fireman who thought he knew everything about his profession until he came to work in Venice. In the canal city we also meet Francesco and Lorenzo, two “tree doctors” preserving the Venetian gardens, and in Angelina we meet Dino who wanted to break the family gondolier tradition but could not resist the calling.

Film študentov Visoke šole za umetnost Univerze v Novi Gorici so uspešni na festivalih: Film Čez 10 let avtorice Valerije Zabret je bil kot edini slovenski film sprejet v tekmovalni program na International Random Film Festival, ki bo na sporedu 10. marca v Aniji, Estonija. Diplomski animirani film Miha Šubica, Zadnje kosilo, pa je bil sprejet na rimski Cortoons Festival kratkih animiranih filmov, tudi ta bo na sporedu v sredini marca.

Visoka šola za umetnost Univerze v Novi Gorici in Šola uporabnih umetnosti Famul Stuart v prostorih šol na Dunajski 56 v Ljubljani organizirata Srečanja z Želimirjem Žilnikom - Izkušnje in delo z nizkoproračunskimi filmi. Priznani srbski mojster doku-fiction-a bo na mestu vsaj 15., 16. in 17 novembra med 15. in 16.30 uro.

All over the World the feelings of loneliness and alienation are the same. They vary in form and the mentality, but inner experience not. The film follows one woman and one man. We do not know what for relation they have, but they share similar moods, state of mind and they are connected with synchronicities. They could be a couple or lovers or can be that they even don’t know each other.

Z veseljem vam sporočamo, da bo v četrtek, 10 in četrtek, 24. februarja ob 20. uri, v Kinu Udarnik v Mariboru projekcija izbora del Visoke šole za umetnost Univerze v Novi Gorici in Šole uporabnih umetnosti Famul Stuart.

Athens Video Art Festival 2011 - Call for entries

Continuing its route through the world of digital arts Athens Video Art Festival starts its journey for 2011 with the annual call for entries.

Submit and present your artwork for its 7th official organization that will take place during springtime in Athens and a tour across Greece will follow it up.

There is neither an entry cost nor a thematic limitation, whereas the categories are:
