V petek, 24. avgusta, vabimo v Divačo, kjer bo ob 20. uri v večnamenski dvorani Muzeja filmskih igralcev na sporedu omnibus Beneške povezave, ki je nastal v produkciji Visoke šole za umetnost s sodelovanjem študentov treh univerz, pod taktirko filmskega režiserja Rajka Grlića. Po omnibusu bo ob 21. uri v letnem kinu na sporedu film Dobro morje, ki nadaljuje retrospektivo skladatelju Bojanu Adamiču.

V ponedeljek, 27. avgusta, pa bo ob 21. uri na odprtem odru Goriškega festivala (GOF) v Novi Gorici predvajan izbor študentskih kratkih dokumetnranih, igranih in animiranih filmov. Gaja Kutnjak je s filmom Od 1912 posnela ganljiv portret svoje babice, Miha Šubic se predstavlja z animacijami Opekozlagalec in Zadnje kosilo, Damir Grbanović, Mark Bizilj, Klavdij Juvan in Simon Reher predstavljajo animirani Še en dan v zaporu, Valerija Zabret se sprašuje o vizijah in realnostih Čez 10 let, Jaka Žilavca pa skrbi Zadnja želja, Iva Musović pa plete Niti odnosov med ljudmi.

Visoka šola za umetnost Univerze v Novi Gorici zbira prijave za še nekaj prostih mest na študiju prve stopnje, program Digitalne umetnosti in prakse z nosilnimi moduli animacija, fotografija, videofilm in novi mediji. Kandidate vabimo, da se o vpisu pozanimajo na informativnih dnevih ali direktno na Visoki šoli za umetnost.

Visoka šola za umetnost Univerze v Novi Gorici v študijskem letu 2012/13 prvič razpisuje magistrski študij - dveletni študij druge stopnje Medijske umetnosti in prakse. Nosilni moduli programa so: Animacija, Film, Fotografija, Novi mediji, Sodobne umetniške prakse, Scenski prostori.

Valerija Zabret, absolventka Visoke šole za umetnost Univerze v Novi Gorici, (tudi) letos poleti ne počiva - izbrana je bila namreč, da kot predstavnica šole sodeluje na rezidenci Tropical Lab v Singapurju, ki jo organizira LASSALE Akademija za umetnosti ali kot pravi sama - najbolj neverjetna šola kar jih je kdaj videla". Šestindvajset mladih umetnikov, diplomantov in magistrskih študentov prestižnih umetniških šol iz celega sveta (mdr. ) sodeluje na rezidenci, ki letos poteka na temo Land. Koncept rezidence združuje umetnije iz različnih kulturnih okoljij, ki skozi vodene oglede, seminarje, delavnice in srečanja z vodilnimi singapurskimi umetniki širijo svojo lastno umetniško izkušnjo.

Projekcija omnibusa Beneške povezave na filmskem festivalu v Motovunu se je odvila v sredo, 1. avgusta ob 11. uri. Prisotni so bili tudi nekateri mentorji ter ustvarjalke in ustvarjalci.

Yeah I know I'm late with this blog, but after two dinners a meeting and bar kidnapping I just wasn't able to get back to the computer to write it. So here you have it, morning edition for the previous day.

Like you have probably deducted from my previous posts we headed out to the island in the morning, this time with two boats, for it was time to shoot the scenes where the two fishermen are in the boat.

The writing of these blogs is being done later and later and the writing is becoming harder and harder. Should take a break from all the daytime activities for a bit before I burn out.

The morning started with another filming session on our tiny island and it went smoothly apart from a few stray tourists wandering on the set. Well, until we had to leave that is. At that point we received information that there’s no boat coming to pick us up. Hooray for being stranded for two extra hours that are eating in to your planned timetable for the day (no blame can go on the crew, it’s all them silly sailors’ fault for being unreliable like the weather)

With the morning ritual firmly establish (jog+ swim), we began a new day. This morning I went with the film crew on a scouting expedition to the small island where the short film will be shot, and when I say small, I really mean it. You can cross it in a few long strides if you want. Before heading back to Komiža, the boat (250 horsepower, 50 miles per hour, yippee ki yay cowboy) took us to a wild beach where we gathered firewood necessary for the filming, where each of us could have gotten themselves replacement footwear and towels, even a beach umbrella.
