Stories of the Ghetto / Zgodbe Ghetta
The omnibus of the final year of the HiLoVv project deals with the complex and delicate topic of the contemporary Venetian neighbourhood called the Ghetto, which with its specific history gave name to the notion of the Ghetto as we know it today. The Ghetto celebrates its 500th anniversary in 2016.
Shaul Bassi is a professor of English Literature at the Ca' Foscari University of Venice. He is the founder of the Venice Center of International Jewish Studies and a member of the Jewish Community of Venice. Rami Banin is the rabbi of the Chabad-Lubavitch Community of Venice and owner of the kosher Gam Gam restaurant in Venice. Lorenzo Moshe De Vettor Aboaf was born and raised in the Venetian Ghetto. He is an artist, musician and researcher. David Ariel Guglielmi joined the Jewish Orthodox Community of the Chabad-Lubavitch three years ago. He and his family now call the Ghetto in Venice their home. Karol Skladanowski Vaccarello is a restaurant owner in the neighbourhood. He and his family opened the restaurant two years ago to keep the Jewish culinary tradition alive. Davide Casali is a musician from Trieste. He is a member of the Jewish community in Trieste, commuting weekly to his workplace in Venice. Živa Kraus is a Croatian painter and curator. She has lived in Venice for the past 40 years and has been running the Ikona Gallery for 35 years. Since 2003 the gallery has been located in Campo del Ghetto Novo.

Discovering the Hidden Live(r)s of Venice
The omnibus Stories of the Ghetto was made in the frame of the third edition of the HiLoVv - Hidden Live(r)s of Venice educational project, which has been supported by the European Union in the form of a Lifelong Learning - Intensive Programmes grant. The leading partner of the project is University of Nova Gorica School of Arts.
After two months of research-based script development about the "Hidden Live(r)s of Venice", in November 2013 students from three universities and several countries met in the floating city to produce 6 short documentaries about Venice, its interesting professions and personalities..., all under the mentorship of the renowned film director, professor Rajko Grlić.

Omnibus filmov Zgodbe Ghetta je nastal v okviru tretje izdaje projekta HiLoVv - Hidden Live(r)s of Venice, ki ga podpira Evropska komisija v sklopu Erasmus - Intenzivni programi, vodilni partner projekta je Visoka šola za umetnost Univerze v Novi Gorici.
Po dvomesečnih raziskavah in pisanju sinopsisov o skritem življenju Benetk, so se novembra 2013 študentje treh univerz in šestih držav srečali v Mestu na vodi, kjer so v dveh tednih pod mentorstvom priznanega filmskega režiserja, profesorja Rajka Grlića in ob pomoči kopice drugih mentorjev z matičnih univerz, posneli 6 kratkih dokumentarcev o zanimivih poklicih, osebnostih v tem posebnem okolju...
