Kaj dogaja? // What's up?

Za nami je pestro leto, sodelujemo v več projektih kot kdajkoli doslej, študente pa vzpodbujamo, da so aktivni tudi izven okvira.

Gostili smo več mednarodnih in domačih gostov - Miloš Tomić (delavnica pikselacije), Robertina Šebjanič z gostom Navidom Nevadom (delavnica umetnost & znanost & tehnologija / umetnost in ekologija), kot mentorici sta se vrnili naši magistrici Valerie Wolf Gang (delavnica eksperimentalne forme) in Lavoslava Benčić (delavnica DIY elektronske umetnosti), mentorski ekipi sta se pridružila fx stručko Luka Leskovšek, zgodovino umetnosti 20. stoletja pa študentom po novem približuje Miha Kelemina, povsem za zaključek rednega obdobja predavanj pa se nam po dveh letih pridruži Rajko Grlić.

Ponosni smo, da je bil marca na izredno selektivnem in obleganem razpisu kot eden izmed le štirih izbran projekt MAST - Master Module in Art, Science and Technology, ki ga koordiniramo in v katerem v bomo v študijskem modulu povezali umetnost, znanost in tehnologijo. Sredi aprila smo gostili prvo srečanje partnerjev iz Portugalske, Avstrije, Madžarske, Belgije, Hrvaške in Srbije. V projektu CDICAE sodelujemo v razvoju novega programa animacije za prvo stopnjo. Program bo implementiran na univerzi Erciyes v Turčiji. Projekt Eminds bo razvijal podjetniške veščine s fokusom na študenta, na Danskem pa se je v maju odvil zadnji dogodek projekta PAIC - Udeležbena umetnost za nevidne skupnosti.

Aktivni pa smo tudi bliže panju - naši sodelavci so del gonilne sile kandidature Nove Gorice za Evropsko prestolnico kulture EPK GO! 2025 - vodja kandidature je Neda Rusjan Bric, ki naše študente sicer posveča v skrivnosti scenaristike, člani delovne skupine EPK so z naše akademije še dekan Boštjan Potokar, programska vodja Rene Rusjan ter vodja modula Novi mediji in projektni koordinator Peter Purg. Fakulteta za humanistiko UNG vodi projekt DIKA - Digitalizacija kulturne dediščine aleksandrink, kjer so naši študentje zadolženi za arhivsko fotografiranje predmetov, izbranih v sodelovanju s projektnimi partnerji - Društvom za ohranjanje kulturne dediščine aleksandrink iz Prvačine in Goriškim muzejem. Aktivno sodelujemo z različnimi festivali v Sloveniji - goriški Pixxelpoint, Animateka, Kino Otok v Izoli, Speculum Artium v Trbovljah, Sajeta, Kinoatelje, MFRU bo letos že drugič študentu UNG AU podelil štipendijo za novomedijski projekt.

Animirani film mARRY jESUS gALAXY avtoric Mery Gobec, Asje Trost, Inês Sampaio in Sandre Jovanovske je bil vabljen v kompilacijo VAF New Talents. Filmi študentov pa so letos potovali od Albanije, preko Beograda, Sicilije, Rima, pa vse do Espinha na Portugalskem.

We have an exciting year behind us, at the school we are involved in several projects than ever before, and we encourage students to be active outside the framework.

We hosted several international and domestic guests - Miloš Tomić (Pixelation Workshop), Robertina Šebjanič with guest Navid Nevada (Workshop on Art & Science & Technology / Art and Ecology), a few of our graduates return as mentors - Valerie Wolf Gang (workshop of experimental form) and Lavoslava Benčić (DIY Electronic Art Workshop), the mentoring team was enhanced by fx expert Luka Leskovšek, while Miha Kelemina holds visually rich lectures on 20th century Art History. Rajko Grlić will join us after two years to complete the lectures just a day after the final exhibition.

We are proud that in March, within an extremely selective and awarded tender and as one of only four projects, the MAST - Master Module and Art, Science and Technology project was selected. UNG School of Arts is coordinator of the project in which we will connect art, science and technology in a new study module. In mid-April we hosted the first meeting of partners from Portugal, Austria, Hungary, Belgium, Croatia and Serbia. In the CDICAE project, we are working on the development of a new animation program for the first level. The program will be implemented at Erciyes University in Turkey. The Eminds project will develop entrepreneurial skills with a focus on the student, and in Denmark, the last event of the PAIC project - Participatory art for invisible communities took place in May.

We are also active closer to home - our co-workers are part of the driving force behind the nomination of Nova Gorica for the European Capital of Culture EPK GO! 2025 - the candidacy coordinator is Neda Rusjan Bric, who lets our students in to the secrets of scriptwriting, while Dean Boštjan Potokar, Program Director Rene Rusjan and the leader of the New Media module and Project Coordinator Peter Purg are members of the working group. The Faculty of Humanities UNG is leading the project DIKA - Digitization of the Cultural Heritage of Aleksandrinke, where our students are responsible for archiving photographs of objects selected in cooperation with the project partners - the Society for Preservation of Cultural Heritage, the Aleksandrinke association from Prvačina and the Goriška Museum. We are actively cooperating with various festivals in Slovenia - Pixxelpoint in Nova Gorica, Animateka in Ljubljana, Isola Cinema, Speculum Artium in Trbovlje, Sajeta in Tolmin, Kinoatelje's Darko Bratina Award, MFRU from Maribor will grant a scholarship for a new media project for the second consecutive year to UNG AU student.

Animated film mARRY jESUS gALAXY  by Mery Gobec, Asja Trost, Inês Sampaio and Sandra Jovanovska was invited to VAF New Talents compilation. Our students' films have in the last year traveled throughout Europe - from Albania, Belgrade, Sicily, Rome and all the way to Espinho in Portugal.
