Semestrska razstava // Semester Show 2019/2020
Aktiven zimski semester je bil. Novi študentje so spoznavali kaj je to animirani film, flipbook, kako deluje snemanje filma, kaj je studijska fotografija, nekateri bolj izkušeni smo se podali na delavnico na Ciper, animirali z režiserjem Michaelom Freiem, zelo živahno z mnogo gosti je bilo ob boku festivala Pixxelpoint in simpozija MAST. Predvsem pa – smo se preselili! Obiskovalci razstave so nas pospremili v naše NOVO DOMOVANJE, ki je sedaj v matičnih prostorih Univerze v Novi Gorici, na Vipavski 13, v Rožni Dolini.
// We did many things in the winter semester 2019/2020. The freshmen were getting to know what is animated film, photography and how a simple film set is run, while more experienced students dived into animating with director Michael Frei, touched object photography and met many interesting authors and artists alongside of the Pixxelpoint festival and the MAST Symposium. But foremost – we moved! The visitors thus joined usat the inaugaural Semester Show in our NEW HOME, at Vipavska 13 in Rožna dolina, Nova Gorica.
Kaj dogaja? // What's up?
Aktiven semester je bil in je še. Novi študentje so spoznavali kaj je to animirani film, flipbook, kako deluje snemanje filma, kaj je studijska fotografija, nekateri bolj izkušeni so se podali na delavnico na Ciper, animirali z režiserjem Michaelom Freiem, zelo živahno z mnogo gosti je bilo ob boku festivalov Pixxelpoint in Animateka, ter simpozija MAST. Več o tem spodaj, predvsem pa – se selimo!
Velik del jesenskega semestra je bil v znamenju festivala Pixxelpoint, ki ga je letos kuriral naš sodelavec prof. dr. Peter Purg. Tako so v teh dnevih potekali simpozij in delavnica MAST, poleg tega še dve delavnici - Hekanje igralnih avtomatov v somentorstvu s Slavkom Glamočaninom, Mapping the Border pod okriljem Adriart.ce mreže so somentorirali prof. Olivera Batajić Sretenović iz Univerze umetnosti v Beogradu, prof. dr. Allan Siegel iz Madžarske Univerze za likovno umetnost ter prof. Rene Rusjan iz Akademije Umetnosti UNG. V sodelovanju s festivalom Animateka je gostoval in s študenti ustvarjal zgoraj omenjeni avtor animiranih filmov in iger Michael Frei, še v tednu pred razstavo poteka v Centru kreativnih praks na lokaciji xDiamond delavnica eMinds, kjer se 30 študentov in mentorjev iz 8 držav spoprijema z vznemirljivimi izzivi evropske prihodnosti.
Na Festivalu slovenskega filma je Sandra Jovanovska prejela nagrado Ostrenje pogleda, zgoraj omenjamo nagrade DSAF, Matija Ternovec in Denis Perčič sta prejela štipendijsko nagrado mariborskega festivala MFRU .

What's up?
Much of the fall semester was marked by the Pixxelpoint Festival, curated by our own prof. dr. Peter Purg. Thus, in those days, a symposium and a MAST workshop were held, and two more workshops - Hacking slot machines in co-mentoring with Slavko Glamočanin, Mapping the Border under the auspices of Adriart.ce network were co-mentored by prof. Olivera Batajić Sretenović from the University of Arts in Belgrade, prof. dr. Allan Siegel from the Hungarian University of Fine Arts and prof. Rene Rusjan from UNG Academy of Arts. In collaboration with the Animateka Festival, the animated film and game author Michael Frei held a workshop with aniamtion students.
In the week before the exhibition the eMinds Workshop where 30 students and mentors from 8 countries face exciting challenges of the European future at the xDiamond Creative Practices Center in Nova Gorica. At the Slovenian Film Festival, Sandra Jovanovska received the Sharpening of the View Award. Her film Soma also received the DSAF Award for a finished film, while the DSAF Award for project in Development also went to our student, Anja Resman and her puppet stop motion The Mask. Students Matija Ternovec and Denis Perčič received the MFRU Maribor Festival Scholarship Award.
